SIMON GRAYSON says Huddersfield Town will be as positive at the Galpharm tonight as they were at MK Dons on Saturday as they bid to build on a 2-0 first-leg victory and force their way into the League I play-off final.

A Wembley date with Sheffield United on Saturday week, May 26, awaits the winners, and Town’s determined manager says there’s no way his team will sit back and try to defend their lead.

The aim is a first home play-off victory at the eighth attempt (there have been five draws and two defeats previously) and Grayson pledged: "We will try to finish the job off."

Midfielder Scott Arfield (ankle) and full-back Calum Woods (toe) face fitness tests after picking up injuries during a opening match settled by goals from Jordan Rhodes, his 39th of the campaign at club level, and Jack Hunt.

"We’re in a good position," acknowledged Grayson, who could clinch the sixth Wembley trip in Town’s history, the last of them coming when Bristol Rovers were beaten 2-1 by Neil Warnock’s side in the League I play-off final of 1995.

Sheffield United last night beat Stevenage 1-0 with a goal from Chris Porter on 85 minutes.

"I’d much rather be two up than two down, but we’re certainly not taking anything for granted.

"This is about 180 minutes of football, and we’ve played only 90.

"MK Dons are a good side who will keep to their passing principles and come and have a real go.

"People keep reminding me about the club’s record in home play-off matches, but sequences are there to be changed.

"I set my team out on Saturday to try to win the game, which we managed to do, and I will do the same tonight."

Grayson said skipper Peter Clarke and his players have been focused on tonight’s return since the final whistle on Saturday.

"Our preparation began straight away. The lads have followed plans in terms of recovery and refuelling and we had good training sessions on Sunday and yesterday," he added.
