FORMER Town defender Lee Sinnott is looking forward to pitting his managerial wits against league opposition.

Sinnott's Farsley Celtic, of the Conference North, will host MK Dons, of League II, in the FA Cup first round.

Farsley made the first round for only the second time by beating Cambridge City 2-1, with former Emley striker Simeon Bambrook scoring.

The last time they made the first round was in 1974-75, when they lost 2-0 to Tranmere in a tie switched to Elland Road.

"It was a bit nervy in the last 10 minutes, but we got there," said Sinnott.

"It's great to have a home tie against league opposition. We couldn't ask for more.

"It will be good for the players to test themselves further.

"Non-league teams that have done well in the FA Cup have taken the attitude 'let's go for it'. That's what we must do.

"The other thing we must do is enjoy the experience."

Former Town players Anthony Lloyd and Phil Senior will also be hoping to feature for non-League clubs.

Lloyd's York will host Bristol City after winning 1-0 at minnows Newcastle Benfield.

And goalkeeper Senior's Northwich Victoria go to Brighton after beating Cambridge United 2-0.

There will be a Welsh derby between non-league Newport and Swansea while Yeading head for Nottingham Forest.
