SOCCER stars Frank Worthington and Trevor Cherry are hosting a sportsman's dinner to raise money for BBC Children in Need.

The dynamic pair have invited some of their personal friends, football veterans and Huddersfield Town players to join them at the event on Monday, November 22 from 7pm.

Trevor said: "This is the perfect evening for people who are passionate about the beautiful game and having fun.

"It is fantastic to combine the event with raising money for such a good cause as Children in Need."

The dinner is being held at Soccer City in Vale Mills, Wakefield Road, Huddersfield.

A comedian and a charity auction will follow the three course meal.

"We hope to raise a lot of money for Children in Need and would like to say a huge thank you to all the companies who have supported the event by donating prizes for the auction," said Trevor.

All profits from the dinner and proceeds from the auction will go to the charity.

Tickets cost £19.50 or £170 per table.

To buy a ticket or make a donation to the auction call Mick Troop on 01484 455511.
