TOWN star Efe Sodje aims to blank Bristol Rovers at the McAlpine tomorrow buoyed by his Nationwide selection in the Third Division team of the week.
The 30-year-old defender has made a big impact since signing from Crewe and his displays have been noted at headquarters as Town hunt a first League win of the season against Ray Graydon's side, who have a !00% away record.
"I knew Efe was a terrific signing for us and I'm pleased he's got the nomination," said manager Peter Jackson, who has a 50-50 doubt over winger John Thorrington (ankle).
"Efe is as keen as anyone to keep a clean sheet tomorrow and if we do that, I'm sure we can give the fans a first home League win to cheer about.
"We need the supporters right behind us tomorrow. Bristol Rovers will want to keep their unbeaten start going and will make it tough, so it's important we get every little bit of help we can along the way.
"I always said this would be a rollercoaster season, so if there are times when it's not going well, that's when we need fans to rally round."
Sodje will be partnered by Paul Scott tomorrow while Jackson is likely to have Academy defender Dave Mirfin on the bench.
Nat Brown, Dwayne Mattis, Tyrone Thompson and Jonathan Worthington are also added to the squad while Rob Edwards returns at left-back to skipper the side in a first meeting between the clubs since the 1995 play-off final at Wembley.
Steve Yates (groin) misses out against his first club, while Jackson is trying to arrange a friendly next week to play Nathan Clarke for fitness.
"Clarkey is probably one game away, which is why he's not in the squad tomorrow," added Jackson.
Rovers are without skipper Adam Barrett as they bid to build on away wins at Scunthorpe and Carlisle, so Kevin Austin is expected to play in central defence against Andy Booth, who will be aiming to mark his two-year contract extension with another goal after Monday's.
