AKPO SODJE has agreed a Town contract through to the end of the season.

The 22-year-old striker's three-month deal was due to expire after the Wrexham home game on Saturday.

Even though he is out injured for another fortnight because of a bad thigh muscle tear, manager Peter Jackson has been quick to make Efe's younger brother a new offer.

"It has been a big step up for Akpo to come from non-League and into our squad, but I like what I've seen so far and now he's got another six months to try and impress further," said Jackson today.

"He is still learning the game, but he's very determined to make a career after being released by QPR and he has many of the right attributes.

"He's big and strong, quick and he scores goals with a tremendous shot in either foot, so I think he's worth looking at to the end of the season."

Jackson was today studying reports of Wrexham's 1-0 defeat at Torquay last night.
