TEAM captain Efe Sodje has warned his colleagues Town still face a big fight to win promotion back to the Second Division.

The 31-year-old defender was aiming for three points at Leyton Orient today before Peter Jackson's side face Southend, Kidderminster and Scunthorpe.

Nigerian international Sodje accepts that opportunity knocks, but he doesn't want anyone - players and fans alike - to be taking anything for granted.

"People will be looking at the table and looking at our fixtures and assuming we are favourites to go up - but we cannot affort to relax," said the bandana man.

"We are going well, but we are in a fight for promotion, and people should remember that word fight.

"Everyone here is aiming for automatic promotion, but we are not there yet.

"Anyone can slip up and we have to ensure it's not us."

Sodje is proud of a record reading only nine goals conceded in 16 matches since Boxing Day.

"That's tremendous and it's a credit to all the players, not just the defence," he said.

"Defence starts up front and we all work hard at it."
