EFE SODJE hopes to clinch a second successive promotion from League II tomorrow - and this time he wants to be around to enjoy the celebrations.

Last May, the Nigerian World Cup defender helped Town to play-off glory against Mansfield at the Millennium Stadium.

But a neck injury suffered late in extra time meant he was on his way to hospital while his teammates were winning the penalty shoot-out.

Tomorrow, Sodje lines up for Yeovil against Lincoln at Huish Park knowing a draw will be enough to ensure automatic promotion.

The 32-year-old left Town on deadline day and will be making his sixth appearance for the Glovers, who hope to have midfielder Darren Way back from injury.

Scunthorpe, Southend and Swansea are also in with a chance of claiming one of the trio of automatic promotion spots.

Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws, the ex-Town defender, has been named League II manager of the month.

Sodje's brother Akpo, another former Town player, will be aiming to help Darlington clinch a League II play-off spot.

They are level on points with Northampton, who occupy the last of the four berths and have a goal difference two better.

Darlington host Cheltenham while Northampton entertain a Kidderminster side condemned to the Conference with Cambridge.

Shrewsbury have released veteran striker Mike Sheron, who was signed from Macclesfield in March.
