IN-FORM Andy Holdsworth today warned League I rivals that Town are on the up and pledged: "It won't be long before someone gets a real drubbing."

The 21-year-old right-back believes Peter Jackson's squad have the ability to build on the best home record in the division in trips to MK Dons and Bristol City after Sunday's FA Cup second round tie at Conference North Worcester.

"Our main aim this season is to win promotion and we are very confident," said Holdsworth, who had three stitches in a shin injury after Saturday's 2-1 victory against Nottingham Forest.

"This is a massive club, we belong in the Championship and that's where we intend to be.

"I thought we beat Forest fair and square and the only disappointment is that we didn't win by more.

"We need to start keeping clean sheets, but we will always score goals and one day someone is going to get a right roasting off us.

"When we go forward and convert all our chances, it will be a real drubbing for someone because we've got so many good players and such a good team to play in."

Holdsworth was involved in the `penalty' incident which resulted in Jack Lester being sent-off for diving and revealed he had a 50p coin thrown at him from the Forest section while receiving treatment from physio Lee Martin.

"I remember Lester turning and me sticking out my leg," said Holdsworth. "I was basically just holding my ground but, to be honest, I thought the referee had given a penalty.

"It was only when I saw the Town fans cheering that I realised he'd sent him off.

"When I was on the ground getting treatment from Lee a 50p nearly hit me on the head. You don't want to see that in football, you want to see it stamped out."
