TOWN Ladies are looking to improve on their second-place finish in the North East Premier Division last season with a double tonic.

Not only have they added several new players to an already strong squad, but they have gained backing from the Army with a sponsorship deal.

Chairperson Claire Townend said: “We are delighted to have received this sponsorship money from the British Army.

“This sponsorship has given a real boost to the entire squad; the players, the coaches and the management committee.

“It really gives players a lift when they pull on the Huddersfield Town Ladies football shirt carrying the British Army 'Be the Best' logo.

“We would all like to thank Warrant Officer Nick McConnell and his team for their generous donation to the club.”

The club cater for players aged 10 upwards and have teams in all age groups.

“We are always looking for new talent so why not give us a try?” added Townend.

“Training takes place at Storthes Hall Park on Thursdays from 7-8pm and on Fridays from 7-9pm.”
