Huddersfield Town's mixed December has convinced manager Chris Powell of the need to strengthen his ranks ahead of the second half of the 2014/2015 campaign.

Town sit five points above the relegation zone after a month which saw creditable wins over both Brentford and Bolton Wanderers, but also morale-denting defeats at Norwich City and at home to Birmingham City, as well as a late collapse at Rotherham United.

The Terriers also lost the services of frontman Grant Holt after his loan from Wigan Athletic expired, underlining the need to bring in reinforcements in the January transfer window.

And after a dismal showing in the 1-0 FA Cup defeat at home to Reading to kick off 2015 in the worst possible fashion, Town's search for signings is expected to intensify.

But how should Powell approach the transfer window this month? Which positions need adding to most? And who should be brought in to boost Town's fortunes?
