AFC Emley are to be sponsored for another season by Wm. Sykes & Son Estate Agents and Auctioneers.

The Holmfirth-based company have sponsored the club since their formation in 2005 and have now signed up for a fourth season.

Emley are in the First Division of the Northern Counties East League and, under the guidance of former Welfare Ground and Town player Ian Banks as manager, they are looking to progress up the football pyramid.

Banks has already re-shaped the squad, including the signing of much-travelled former Premier League player Neil Redfearn.

Rob Dixon, sales manager at Wm. Sykes & Son, commented: “I was a big fan of the original Emley FC but like many people, became disillusioned when the club relocated to Wakefield.

“When I heard that the new club was being formed by the supporters I was keen to get involved, and sponsoring the shirts was a great opportunity for us.

“Seeing the progress being made by the club both on and off the field we were more than happy to extend our sponsorship for a further season.”
