TOWN are having to change their system for exchanging Friend for a Fiver vouchers because of increased demand.

A total of 867 vouchers were used last Saturday for the derby clash with Barnsley at the Galpharm Stadium.

Fans exchanging them in the build-up to matches, however, have caused problems at both the ticket office and the turnstiles, so a new system is in operation with immediate effect.

"The support we are getting is fantastic, as last week's 14,000-plus gate suggests," said ticket office manager Sue Beaumont.

"Season-ticket holders should note, though, a change to the way we deal with swapping Friend for a Fiver vouchers.

"They can now be exchanged for tickets only up until noon on weekend matchdays and up to 5pm for midweek matches.

"This will help alleviate queues at the ticket office and also enable us to regulate the turnstiles."

Only the main stand will be open for Town's LDV Vans Trophy tie against Morecambe on Tuesday.

It's £6 adults, £3 students and OAPs and £1 juniors. Students have to show ID to buy tickets from the office.
