DEIGHTON Under 11s got off to a good start when the first rounds of the Huddersfield FA Minor Cups were played on Sunday.
Goals from Clive Stewart (2), Simeil Quashie (2), Cliffroy Creighton, Cameron Rufus and Stephen Liburd were enough to give the Division III side a solid 7-3 win over First Division Lepton United.

In the Under 15 age group, Third Division Junior Collegians got the better of DivisionII strugglers Kirkheaton with a 3-2 victory.
Joshua Sykes and Zishaan Faridi were on target for Kirkheaton but Richard Clare, Oliver Chamberlain and Saul Fitton grabbed one extra to put Collegians into the next round.
One game left over from the RCD Under 16 League Cup first round was settled on Sunday, with First Division Kexborough gaining victory over Howden Clough.
Andrew Crowther (2) and Niki Crabtree netted for Second Division title chasing Clough but Michael Jepps (2), Ashley O'Callaghan and Ben Parkin went one better to give Kexborough the win.
In the League, Netherton and Liversedge continue to set the pace in the Under 18s.
