STRIKER Lee Novak has been declared fit for Town's FA Cup first-round clash with Dagenham & Redbridge at the Galpharm tomorrow night.
The 21-year-old signing from Gateshead yesterday had a scan on his injured right shoulder which has come back all clear.
"Lee has got a lot of bruising around the shoulder area, but the scan is all clear, the intention is for him to train with the group today and he'll be available for the Cup-tie," said manager Lee Clark.
"It's great news for us and for Lee, because he has stepped up really well this season, his work ethic is second to none and all he needs to add now are some more goals.
"That's what strikers are judged on and that's what I judge my strikers on.
"When you look down a striker's career stats it doesn't say they've run 15km in a game or how many challenges they've made, it says how many goals they've scored.
"Lee has done absolutely brilliant and we are delighted with his contribution, all he needs to start doing now is bring what he did at Gateshead and believe in himself as much as we believe in him that he can score a lot of goals.
"I don't see my strikers as people who run around for 90 minutes but have no attempts on goal - that's no good to me. I want to see my strikers scoring on a regular basis and Lee - along with Robbie Simpson - is capable of joining Theo Robinson and Jordan Rhodes in terms of goalscoring."
