TOM MATTHEWS fired a smart double as Brighouse Town continued their unbeaten run in the Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

His efforts enabled Paul Quinn’s side to defeat Nostell MW 3-0 at the Dual Seal.

James Hurtley opened the scoring with a brilliant diving header from Ben Charlesworth’s cross in the first half.

Matthews bagged his first on 61 minutes and made the game safe just two minutes later from a superb Ryan Hall through ball, as the Nostell defence was caught napping once again.

It was the perfect tonic for this coming Saturday’s league trip to Heanor, when Brighouse can go 13 games unbeaten at Northern Counties level.
