PETER JACKSON will tonight watch a Worcester City side battling for a financial lifeline.

The Conference North strugglers are £750,000 in debt as they tackle Southern Premier League Chippenham in their FA Cup first-round replay at St George's Lane (7.30).

It's a home game Worcester are desperate to win, as football secretary Graham Hill explained.

"This is a massive game in any case because it's 22 years since we last went to the second round," he said.

"But with a live television game against Huddersfield at stake, which is probably worth over £100,000 when everything is taken into consideration, I can't tell you how big it is for our club.

"We are £¾m in debt, so to say a sum like that would be a huge help is a massive understatement."

Town's manager will run the rule over both sides tonight in preparation for the Sunday, December 4, second-round trip (1.05 kick-off) which is being screened live by BBC1 ahead of the big third round draw.

"It will be interesting to have a good look at our opposition, whoever it is," said Jacko.

Both clubs won, Worcester 6-2 at home to Hednesford and Chippenham 3-2 away at Hemel Hempstead in the FA Trophy.
