It's been a season full of highs and lows, but Huddersfield Town fans finished the season in buoyant mood after seeing their side go seven unbeaten for the second time this season, albeit with the final result at Blackpool yet to be decided after the abandoned Bloomfield Road clash.

Town could yet seal a first finish above Leeds United in some 53 years if all three points are awarded to them by the Football League after the Seasiders' fans pitch invasion and they are guaranteed of a highest position at this level in 15 years.

With manager Chris Powell set to finally put his stamp on the first-team squad in his first summer transfer window, there is tangible excitement amongst supporters.

There have been various disappointments along the way, with the opening-day thrashing by Bournemouth, a seven-match winless run and boasting the third worst defence in the division both aspects of 2014/2015 which will rankle with the Town boss.

But a 3-1 win over promoted Watford, a stunning away success at Wolves early on and a swashbuckling brand of football during the first seven-match unbeaten run offer cause for celebration.
