North Easterner Scott, signed from Cramlington Juniors in January 2015, scored twice as Town, fourth in the North table, beat Leeds United 5-0 at PPG Canalside last Saturday.

Third-placed Forest haven’t played since going down 2-1 at leaders Sheffield United a fortnight ago.

The East Midlands side won the PDL title last season.

Forest are now coached by Gareth Holmes after Jack Lester stepped up to become Under 23 coach.

Both clubs are gearing up for FA Youth Cup third-round ties.

Town host AFC Wimbledon, with the date yet to be confirmed, while Forest are at home to Ipswich Town.

Chelsea, who have knocked out Town in each of the last two seasons, begin their bid to win the trophy for the fourth time running with a home tie against Cardiff City.

The Blues have won the Youth Cup seven times in all but the competition’s most successful club are Manchester United, with 10 wins.

They begin at home to Southampton.

Town reached the final in 1974, losing to Tottenham Hotspur over two legs.
