TOWN today revealed a return to a black change kit as new striker Danny Cadamarteri predicted bright times are just around the corner.

As the ex-Leicester player reflected on his two-goal haul in Saturday’s 6-1 friendly mauling of Bridlington Town (report page 48), the Galpharm club showed off the Mitre-manufactured away strip.

It’s all black with red and yellow trim, reviving memories of the change colours worn during the 2003-04 League II promotion campaign.

The new design replaces last season’s all-red alternative kit.

Town wore their first-choice blue and white stripes at Bridlington, where Cadamarteri’s fellow fresh signing Malvin Kamara also notched two goals and Luke Beckett and Mitchell Bailey got the others.

Andy Ritchie’s League I side will chase a third win in three outings at Hucknall Town tomorrow, and Cadamarteri said: “It’s great for me and Malvin to be among the goals and we’re settling in well.

“It’s still very early, but this club has a great crop of young players and I’m sure there are bright times ahead.”
