DEAN HOYLE is handing Town’s floating fans a cut-price chance to back the bid for successive victories for the first time this season.

Stan Ternent’s 15th-placed side host Bristol Rovers on Saturday aiming to build on their impressive 3-1 League I win down at Swindon.

It’s been confirmed that 399 Town supporters saw the County Ground triumph, and chairman-elect Hoyle believes a bumper turn-out against Bristol will help everyone.

While the club already have 16,265 season-ticket holders, Hoyle is hopeful others will take advantage of the first of a series of ‘credit crunch offers’.

Tickets for the Fantastic Media Stand lower tier (at the cinema end of the Galpharm Stadium) were available for £2 until 5.00 today. Tomorrow it’s £4, on Thursday £8 and on Friday £16, compared with the normal turnstile price of £20. Tickets are available from the stadium or by ringing 0870 44 44 552.

“We realise times are hard financially, which was the thinking behind our offer last week following the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat,” he said.

“Now we’re giving people who haven’t been down for a while, or who have never been before, the chance to come and see what we have on offer.

“I firmly believe Stan Ternent has put together a squad full of quality and I think we saw that proven at Swindon.

“As Stan says, the fans can have a big effect, at home as much as away, and it would be great to see us beat the Leicester attendance (16,212) against Bristol Rovers.”
