TOWN fans will have to wait another two or three weeks to buy their new replica shirts.

The club had hoped to have the Admiral blue and white stripes on sale about now, but a problem with production has caused a hold-up.

Town's retail manager Michele Adamson explained:

"It's disappointing to have to put the shirt launch back, but we do want the best possible quality for the supporters.

"On the basis of the samples which were received, we have re-ordered using a different fabric and they should be available sometime at the beginning of October."

Many fans have pre-ordered the new shirt, and they will receive a letter from the club explaining the situation.

Work is continuing on the new club shop, which will be in the main stadium building, and the plan is still to open for business in late October.

Town are trying to link the opening to the visit of Denis Law for the signing of his autobiography, The King, at the stadium on October 25.

Meanwhile, Town will have the Efe Sodje bandanas on sale very shortly.

Sponsored by Prime Time Recruitment, who will have their logo on the headwear, bandanas will be priced at £8.99.

Michele said "We have produced the bandanas with Efe's support and because of the massive demand there has been from fans.

"Efe is already wearing one of the club bandanas for warm-ups and they will be available in both home and away colours.

"They will feature Efe's slogan `Against All Odds' as well as the HTAFC branding and the Prime Time logo.

"As soon as they arrive we will let people know and we do expect them to become very popular for matchdays."
