TOWN Ladies lost their second North East Premier League match of the season, going down 3-1 away to Leeds Development.

In the first half, Town attacked well down the left with 15-year-old Becky Catling causing constant problems.

But a misplaced backpass gave Leeds the chance to go ahead after 14 minutes and despite Town's pressure, they were unable to draw level before half-time.

In the second half Town continued to press and a good through ball by Kate Mallin gave Jade Robshaw a run at the Leeds defence. She finished with a left-footed shot into the top corner.

Town appeared to be getting on top, but speculative 25-yard shot looped over the goalkeeper and into the net.

This was soon followed by a close-range shot which beat the keeper again.

Town take on Darwen in the second qualifying round of the FA Woemn's Cup at Beck Lane on Sunday (2.00).
