JAMES BERRETT hopes to add to his first outing of the season at Darlington by figuring for Town at Swindon tomorrow and the Republic of Ireland Under 21s against Lithuania in Kaunas on Tuesday.

The Golcar-based 19-year-old made his 13th start and 20th appearance in all in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy second-round defeat.

His call followed news that he had been added to the Under 21 squad in place of injured Blackburn Rovers player Alan Judge.

Berrett is chasing his fifth cap at that level as coach Don Givens starts to look towards the European Under 21 Championships of 2011.

He made two appearances, against the host nation and Iraq, in the Intercontinental Cup in Malaysia this summer. He then faced Austria in Vienna in August and Bulgaria in Sofia last month.
