YOU buy your season-ticket, we’ll buy the players.

That’s the pledge from chairman-to-be Dean Hoyle as Town include a £99 deal in their season-ticket offer for 2009-10.

The cheapest adult ticket – £1 less than the Centenary – is in the newly-named Fantastic Family Stand lower tier.

An adult in the Antich Stand will pay £249, it’s £299 in the Direct Golf UK Stand lower tier and £379 in the upper.

As he prepares to take over the boardroom reins from Ken Davy, lifelong fan Hoyle explained: “I think most supporters realise the £100 season-ticket offer was fantastic but can only be a one-off and to do that again is not financially viable.

“I realise times are tough financially and the club has tried to offer a choice for everyone.

“In many cases, the season-ticket prices are lower than before the Centenary offer and in the Fantastic Family Stand lower tier, fans can buy one for £99. That’s a great opportunity.”

Hoyle, who is already backing manager Lee Clark to reshape the squad, says the fans have a vital part to play in a new era at the club.

“I feel an excitement and level of anticipation that hasn’t been around the club for many, many years – so join us and be part of the new era,” he said.

“We all know the club has potential. We now have to turn that into reality. It will take time to get where we want to be, but we can use other clubs as inspiration for what is possible.

“Some terrific things have been achieved by clubs similar to us in recent seasons and I am sure that their fans have enjoyed the journey up the leagues – in some cases into the Premier League – and are loving life now they are there.

“We are at the beginning of what promises to be a wonderful journey and, as demonstrated in January, when it is necessary, we will buy players, not just to improve quality now but to invest in potential.”
