The transfer window is pretty much over for Huddersfield Town as boss David Wagner got his business done and dusted with a month of the window still to go.

But Town may still have to fight for their prized assets with the likes of Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Norwich all reportedly keen on star striker Nahki Wells.

Earlier in the window, Wagner understood why his main forward may be the subject of speculation, but was adamant no offers had been received for the Bermudian.

He said: "It is no surprise to have speculation over a good player, which he is, but we have had no phone call or email from another club.

"Every transfer window there will be speculation and I will be happy when transfer deadline day is gone."

Well, there's not much longer to wait Mr Wagner.

Harry Redknapp won't be doing any deadline day deals this month

The transfer window shuts at 11pm on Wednesday, August 31 in England and Germany, Italy, Spain and France will also share the same deadline day.
