THREE of the forwards in Swansea’s squad have been linked with moves to Town in the past.

One-time Leeds youngster Warren Feeney, who is on duty with Northern Ireland, was a target of Andy Ritchie’s predecessor Peter Jackson, while the current Galpharm boss sounded out both Jason Scotland and Darryl Duffy during the close-season.

Feeney, 26, is on loan from Cardiff, who signed him from Luton in July.

He has four goals in eight games for the Swans.

Scotland, a 28-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international, pictured, previously played his football in Scotland, first with Dundee United, then St Johnstone, where he was a teammate of Town keeper Matt Glennon.

The summer signing has eight goals to his credit so far.

Duffy, 23, is a Scot who learned the game with Glasgow Rangers.

He exploded onto the Scottish scene with Falkirk, and was signed from Hull in the close-season, when Swansea transferred ex-Town frontman Pawel Abbott to Darlington.

Duffy netted five times in eight games on loan at Swansea last season but has scored just once since the move was made permanent.

The other strikers at Martinez’s disposal are fellow Spaniard Guillem Bauza and former trainee Joe Allen.

Bauza, 22, grabbed both goals in last Saturday’s 2-1 FA Cup win at Billericay and the winner against Yeovil in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on Tuesday.

An international at various age-group levels, he was signed from Espanyol.
