HOW Town handle the pace of striker Nathan Tyson will be the key to clinching a first home League victory in six weeks against Nottingham Forest tomorrow (3.00).

The 23-year-old speed merchant has been drafted in on loan from Wycombe to complement Gareth Taylor's aerial threat and seems certain to sign permanently at the City Ground in January.

Tyson will be looking for his first Forest goal tomorrow as they hunt a double over Town to extend their unbeaten run to six matches, but Galpharm chief Peter Jackson has other ideas.

He believes Nathan Clarke and David Mirfin have the punch to inspire a second successive clean sheet for the first time this season and create the platform for a win which could take Town back to the top as leaders Swansea City are at Tranmere.

A first 18,000 crowd at the Galpharm in 18 months is not out of the question, and Jackson is determined to reward Town's big contingent by getting Danny Schofield and Co back in full flow against Forest's three centre-backs.

Mark Hudson is expected back in central midfield after his one-match ban but Jackson will have to check on striker Pawel Abbott (knee) and midfield duo Chris Brandon and Tony Carss (knocks in training) before finalising his line-up.

"This will be one of our toughest home games, so it would be a great one to win," said Jackson, who will next week extend the loan of Anthony Lloyd to Torquay.

"We haven't gone into any game in the last few months thinking that we couldn't win it and we'll have exactly the same attitude when we run out there tomorrow.

"We have to be strong at the back to deal with Tyson and Taylor, who combined well against Southend last week, but we are also looking to improve our quality in the attacking third of the field and give Forest's three centre-backs some problems.

"Our wingers have to be brought into the game and produce good delivery. Then we need to take our chances when they come along with full backing from our fans.

"Confidence is high, because we know when we play well that no-one in this division can handle us."

Forest have sold more than 3,000 tickets for the game.
