Huddersfield Town player Jake Charles has been handed another Wales Under 19 call-up.

The 18-year-old forward, who is close to fitness after picking up an ankle injury in pre-season, is in the squad for back-to-back friendlies against Montenegro next month.

Wales will play in the Eastern European country on Tuesday September 1 and Thursday 4.

They are preparing for European Championship qualifiers against Denmark, Portugal and Albania in November.

Charles won three Under 19 caps during last season’s European Championship campaign.

The former Under 17 international finished top scorer for Town Under 18 side last season, scoring 22 times in 32 appearances.

He also made two starts and six substitute appearances for the Under 21s, scoring once.

Meanwhile Town defender Jordan Williams made his England Under 16 debut against Belgium.

The Young Lions lost 4-3 in a see-saw encounter at St George’s Park in Burton.
