Huddersfield Town slipped to a second successive defeat as Birmingham City sealed a smash-and-grab 1-0 win on Saturday .
The Terriers never truly got going against the Blues in a dour encounter and were made to pay when David Cotterill slammed home a free-kick from 25 yards midway through the second half.
Grant Holt had gone closest from a Town perspective in the first half but he was unable to beat Birmingham goalkeeper Darren Randolph, who also made superb late save to thwart Joe Lolley.
