Huddersfield Town exited the FA Cup at the third-round stage after a desperately disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Reading on Saturday .

Chances were few and far between throughout the entirety of the contest and the Terriers' best opening fell to James Vaughan early in the second half, but he headed over from close range.

And Town were made to pay when Royals substitute Nick Blackman played a neat one-two with Hal Robson-Kanu before firing home to send Steve Clarke's men into round four.

Nahki Wells went close on two occasions but Town's misery was compounded when Jonathan Hogg was sent off for a second bookable offence late on.
