TOWN matchwinner Mark Hudson put personal heartache to one side today and vowed: "We'll be sick if we don't win automatic promotion!"

The 25-year-old was sent-off for the first time in his career in the closing seconds of Saturday's fine 2-1 win at Yeovil which put Town back alongside leaders Swansea on 34 points.

Hudson will miss the crunch Galpharm derby against Bradford on Saturday (noon) - as will City's Ben Muirhead who was dismissed in the 0-0 draw at Barnsley - but the midfield kingpin is backing Town for glory.

"We've got a really strong squad and, even though there is a long way to go this season, we all believe we can go up," said Hudson today.

"There are lads who can come into the side and handle any situation, so we will be very disappointed and sick if we end up in the play-offs.

"We want to be in the top two and if we keep on playing like we are, we'll be there."

Hudson, booked earlier for a foul on Paul Terry, marched in the fifth minute of stoppage time for a tame sliding tackle on scorer Lee Johnson in a fourth away win.

"You couldn't talk to the referee and it was like being back at school - he just treated us like children," said Hudson."I hold my hands up for the first booking, but for the second one the referee (Steve Dorr) has shown no common sense.

"I felt he had the yellow card out even before I made the tackle, but he had that kind of game.

"I'm gutted to be missing the Bradford derby, but it was great to score the winning goal and for us to win. It was a massive victory for us."

Andy Booth got Town's first goal in the 11th minute.
