WELLINGTON A have raced to the top of the pile in Division I.

A third straight win has seen them move clear with their latest victory being a 7-0 success against promoted Dalton.

On target for Wellington were Dwayne Wilkinson and Eddie Hamlett, each notching hat tricks, plus a strike from Lee Bradshaw.

Black Bull moved into second spot with a 5-3 win against last season’s second division champions Inter Athletic.

Dignan (2), Sykes (2) and Hill did the damage for Bull, with Liam Gibbon, John Conheeney and Kieron Ryan replying for Inter.

Helion Albion’s first points of the season enabled them to move up to joint third, as they beat basement side Marsh 2-1 at Reinwood Rec.

Maylett and Salm grabbed Helion’s goals, with Richard Dyson scoring for Marsh.

In Division II newcomers Queen are joint top of the table with Town Rangers after a 16-2 mauling of lowly Wellington B.

The Queen scorers were Daniel Naidole (5), Dave Brennan (4), Tom Hampshire (2), Ryan John (2), Theo McHugh (2) and Wayne Reynolds. Wellington scorers were Khangura and Meade.

Town Rangers kept up with the pace after a 3-1 win over Club Kirkheaton.

Neil Bousted (2) and Chris Rushworth scored for Rangers, with Richard Woodward netting for Kirkheaton.

Clifton Rangers earned their first points of the season, beating Field Head 4-3.
