LEE CLARK says Huddersfield Town chose to travel to Exeter by road yesterday rather than fly down today in a bid to ensure the players are as fresh as possible come kick-off.
“We were given the option, and (assistant) Terry McDermott and myself decided we were best to get down to Devon early,” explained the manager.
“The hotel we use in this part of the world has excellent training facilities, and the lads will get a couple of good nights of sleep.
“We’re lucky because we are able to prepare like a Premier League club would do, and the lads are aware of the support from the board which makes it possible.
“We know that when some sides run out at our ground, they’ve still got the journey in their legs – in fact it’s a situation we try to exploit.”
