IAN MILLER insists he’s looking forward to the challenge of facing Leicester for the third time this season.

Town have twice been ruthlessly torn apart by the Foxes in the Championship, most recently when they lost 6-1 at the King Power Stadium on New Year’s Day.

Simon Grayson’s side responded by claiming the 1-0 FA Cup win at Charlton which earned a home fourth-round tie against Leicester later this month.

And coach Miller smiled: “Now we’ve got the perfect chance to show we really have turned a corner.”

Town had gone 10 league games without a win before their victory at The Valley, where Jermaine Beckford scored.

The seasoned striker will once again miss out on facing Leicester under the terms of his loan from his parent club.

But Miller is adamant Town still have what it takes to win what will be the first FA Cup clash between the pair, set to take place on Saturday, January 26.

“It’s funny how things work out,” he smiled. “Everyone thought we’d seen the back of Leicester this season.

“They’ve been fantastic against us both times (Nigel Pearson’s side won 2-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium in October).

“But we were poor down there, there’s no getting away from that, and we have to make sure things are different from now on.

“There was a steely determination among the players to start putting things right last Saturday, and we have to kick on.

“The FA Cup is an important competition and one we want to do well in, but we have two big league games before the next round.”

It’s Birmingham at home this Saturday and Watford away seven days after that as former Leicester player Grayson, whose side are 17th, eyes a climb back up the table.

Leicester, who are fifth, go to Bristol City on Saturday on the back of their 2-0 FA Cup win at home to League II side Burton.

Their goals came from Kiwi striker Chris Wood and Belgian right-back Ritchie De Laet, both of whom were on target against Town last Tuesday.

Grayson’s side will also be wary of French midfield ace Anthony Knockaert, who has registered doubles in both games against them.

“They’re a very good side, and both of us will know plenty about each other,” added Miller. “It’s down to us to make sure we’re the side dictating things.”

While Leicester made the quarter-finals last season, Town are in the fourth round for only the 12th time in 40 years.

They’ve reached round five just three times in that spell, most recently in 2008-09 when a 1-0 win at Oldham sealed a trip to Chelsea, who won 3-1.
