WEST BROM have named Richard Garlick as their new sporting and technical director in place of Football Association-bound Dan Ashworth.
The Premier League club had been linked with Huddersfield Town’s head of football operations Ross Wilson, but have instead appointed from within.
Garlick, 36, has been Albion’s legal director/secretary since December 2010 and will take over when Ashworth leaves to become the FA’s director of elite development at the end of the season.
