Fancy a flutter on next season's Championship standings?

Anyone hoping to replicate the 5000/1 odds that saw a few lucky punters win big on Leicester City's historic Premier League title will be left disappointed, with the competitive and unpredictable nature of England's second tier reflected in the offerings.

And the David Wagner Revolution at Huddersfield Town has prompted Sky Bet to offer odds of 28/1 on the Terriers being crowned winners of the division next May.

That's on the same level as Leeds United, Blackburn and Preston North End.

If you're unwilling to commit to Town finishing first but are confident they will win promotion to the Premier League, Sky Bet are offering odds of 9/1, while Wagner's side are 4/1 to finish in the top six.

Town ended up 19th in the 2015/16 standings following two defeats from the final two games of the season - 11 points clear of the relegation places.

And they are priced at 11/2 to go down next term - meaning the bookies believe a top six placing is more likely than Town facing the drop to League One.

Now that Rafa Benitez has signed on for an extended stay at Newcastle United, the Magpies have been installed as favourites to lead the way in 2016/17.

They are 5/2 favourites to win the division, while the North East club are 4/5 on to go straight back up to English football's top table.

Aston Villa and Norwich City, who also dropped down from the Premier League, are 9/1 to win the Championship, while Sheffield Wednesday - beaten by Hull City in the play-off final at Wembley on Saturday - are priced at 14/1.
