Huddersfield Town's Premier League survival looks set to go down to a three-way fight between them, Swansea City and Southampton after today's results.

Although the Terriers weren't in action, all their relegation rivals were on a day which saw Stoke City's 10-year top-flight stay come to an end.

The Potters fell to a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at the bet365 Stadium in the day's early kick-off before West Bromwich Albion clung to their faint survival hope with a last-gap win at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

However, neither side can now mathematically overtake Huddersfield Town in the table meaning David Wagner's men are assured of finishing in the minimum position of 18th in the table – the final relegation spot.

That is currently occupied by Swansea who lost 1-0 away to AFC Bournemouth with Southampton climbing above them in the table with a 1-1 draw at Everton.

Results this weekend have so far confirmed the top-flight statuses of Crystal Palace, Brighton & Hove Albion, Watford and AFC Bournemouth with anyone from 15th place West Ham United downwards fearing the drop.
