TOWN skipper Jon Worthington could have to change his wheels in a bid to get his season back on track.
Boss Andy Ritchie admits staff are scratching their heads over the cause of the midfielder’s groin problems.
With no obvious medical reason, they are now looking at the way Worthington, pictured, drives his car.
“The idea came from our physio Lee Martin,” explained Ritchie.
“He knew of cases where injuries had been caused or aggravated by driving.
“We’ve been thinking long and hard about Worthy’s situation, and thought it was worth looking into.
“It could be the angle he sits at, and if a change of car is of benefit, it’s something which would be worth considering.”
The 24-year-old has missed Town’s last two games and was a big doubt for today’s trip to Crewe.
He struggled with similar problems last season and eventually had surgery to strengthen the groin area using a mesh.
The specialist has declared himself happy with the way the procedure went and a recent scan showed no significant degree of inflammation.
l Leeds have been barred from full membership of the FA after being unable to prove all their non-football creditors have been paid.
They will still be able to compete in all competitions, including the FA Cup.
