READERS may remember the earlier columns about the fundraising event being run by the Supporters Trust.

To recap, there are three worthy causes to benefit from it.

The first is the Forget-Me-Not Trust, Town manager Peter Jackson's favourite charity, and our thank-you to him for all his hard work last season.

The second is Town fan Jonathan Brook, who is going to Ghana to coach football and make a difference to the way the talented youngsters out there play.

Who knows, he might even be able to tip off Town about any up-and-coming African stars he comes across!.

The third and final beneficiary is the Town Academy.

Academy director Gerry Murphy has done a fantastic job and it will be a pleasure to show appreciation by contributing to the youth set-up.

They are never an idle lot down there, though, and just to prove it, a team of five will be competing in our fundraising tournament down at Soccer City.

It is hoped that this will encourage plenty of you to come and compete against them.

A goalkeeper from the Academy will also be present to give the penalty shoot-out an extra edge.

All those who fancy trying their skills against this very talented bunch will be very welcome. And there are excellent prizes to be won.

The Waterloo event takes place on Sunday, with an 11.00 start.

Teams will consist of five players and you may give yourselves the name of your choice (as long as it is printable).

For those who are not connected to the internet, contact Jonathan Brook at 28 Fixby Road, Huddersfield, HD2 2JQ.

To register, send a £25 cheque made payable to Huddersfield Town Supporters Trust.

For those who already visit Soccer City or just prefer to pop in and register in person, it's fine to do this with the staff at the desk.

It's a whole lot of entertainment for just a fiver each, and it's all to aid some excellent causes so, as the man on the TV used to say: "Come on down!"

Hopefully this will be the first of an annual competition to find the hottest shots in town.

Make sure you're the first team to get your name on the trophy!
