Cardiff City are readying a new bid for Southampton defender Jose Fonte - the Bluebirds' top summer target - after seeing their initial £3m bid knocked back by the Premier League side. (Wales Online)

Huddersfield Town target Matthew Briggs is reportedly on trial at Millwall after leaving Fulham at the end of the 2013/2014 season, as the Lions run the rule over the defender. (South London Press)

Former Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Keith Andrews is inching closer to a switch to Sheffield Wednesday, with Huddersfield reportedly out of the race due to a disagreement over personal terms. The Seagulls will not be going back in for last season's loanee. (The Argus)

Leeds United manager Dave Hockaday has insisted he will not be hurried in the transfer market this summer despite the departure of Ross McCormack.
