Watford are lining up an ambitious move for former Italy international and AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini, with the 37-year-old available on a free transfer after leaving Fiorentina. (Watford Observer)

Bolton Wanderers are preparing for the exits of Marvin Sordell, who is on the verge of tying up a move to Burnley, and Huddersfield Town target Keith Andrews, with Sheffield Wednesday also entering the running for the Irishman. (The Bolton News))

Nottingham Forest are set to rebuff any future bids for young defensive prodigy Jamaal Lascelles, after QPR manager Harry Redknapp saw a £4m offer rejected yesterday. (Nottingham Post)

Leeds United are closing in on the signing of Chievo Verona goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, who will become the second shot-stopper to move to Elland Road after Stuart Taylor completed a Bosman move from Reading. (Yorkshire Evening Post)

Brisbane Roar midfielder Luke Brattan will not be holding further talks with Brighton and Hove Albion after the Hull-born 24-year-old suffered an injury before jetting in for talks. (The Argus)

Sheffield Wednesday's chase for Sam Hutchinson could be hijacked by West Bromwich Albion, with the Baggies reportedly weighing the former Chelsea utility man up for their right-back vacancy on a free transfer. (The Star)

Ruben Rochina's Blackburn Rovers future remains up in the air, with fresh suggestions that La Liga outfit Granada have entered the running for the winger, who is also interesting Rayo Vallecano, where he spent last season on loan. (Lancashire Telegraph)

Gary Bowyer's side will not be signing highly-rated Crewe Alexandra striker Max Clayton, however, despite rumours the 19-year-old could make the step up to the Championship. (Lancashire Telegraph)
