FORMER Huddersfield Town men Robbie Williams and Adnan Ahmed are on trial at Aberdeen.

The pair are among six on trial with the Granite City club.

The others are former Charlton defender Grant Basey, ex-Southampton man Yoann Folly, ex-Bolton man Jeff Smith and midfielder Conor Okus.

Basey and Williams are both left-backs and Dons boss Mark McGhee has made a new full-back one of his top priorities after losing Huddersfield Town-linked Charlie Mulgrew to Celtic earlier this summer.

Former Manchester United man Ahmed had been playing for Ferencvaros in Hungary.

All six are set to feature for Aberdeen in this weekend's pre-season friendly with Fraserburgh so McGhee can cast an eye over them.
