Hogan sell-on clause
Rochdale could be in with a big cash windfall should Scott Hogan be sold by Brentford this month.
The Daily Mail claim Rochdale will pocket 30 per cent of Hogan’s fee.
Not a bad return for the Dale...
Newcastle target
The Croydon Advertiser are reporting that Crystal Palace are competing with Newcastle and Celtic for Everton’s James McCarthy.
Crystal Palace could reportedly return with a bid for Everton midfielder this month, but face competition from Newcastle United and Celtic. The Eagles were heavily linked with a move for the Republic of Ireland international in the summer, with Palace reportedly missing out on signing him on transfer deadline day after Moussa Sissoko opted to join Tottenham instead of Everton.
Although the Chronicle have reported that Rafa Benitez was told McCarthy was not available when the Newcastle boss enquired.
Chery heading to China
QPR creative midfielder Tjaronn Chery is also looking likely to leave Loftus Road for Chinese side Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng - with the number 10 heading to the Far East this week.
Sky Sports report a £4m fee and personal terms are both agreed.
German interest in Polter
FC Union Berlin have made a £3m bid for QPR striker Sebastian Polter, according to Sky Sports.
The Hoops are believed to be willing to let the forward leave this month, with Polter open to a return to Germany.
Aston Villa and Norwich swap deal?
Aston Villa are plotting a swap deal with Norwich City in order to secure the services of Robbie Brady, according to reports.
The Sun claims Steve Bruce will offer the Canaries striker Ross McCormack in the hope of bringing the Republic of Ireland star to Villa Park.
The Scot has struggled for game time at Villa, but is believed to be one of Norwich’s January targets.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
The Daily Mail are reporting that Chelsea will not loan out midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Newcastle, Brighton, Watford, Middlesbrough and Swansea were all thought to be interested in the 20-year-old.
Rotherham offer rejected
Not the most reliable of sources concerning transfer news, but HITC Sport are claiming Grimsby have rejected an £850,000 bid from Rotherham for star striker Omar Bogle.
The forward has netted 18 goals in 24 League Two appearances so far this season.
Tom Cairney
Newcastle United have enquired about the availability of Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney, according to reports.
The 25-year-old has been a key figure for the Cottagers this season and Get West London claim that has attracted Championship ‘big boys’ Newcastle.
The news outlet suggests Rafa Benitez’s side would have to pay up to £10m to tempt Fulham into selling.
Leeds looking at Norwich forward
Sky Sports News are reporting that Leeds United are interested in Norwich winger Sergi Canos.
The outlet has previously claimed Brentford are in talks with the Canaries to sign the forward, but ‘Sky sources’ are now claiming Garry Monk wants to take the midfielder to Elland Road.
Stewart Downing
Middlesbrough are reportedly willing to allow Stewart Downing to leave on loan for the rest of the season and the Daily Mail are suggesting Crystal Palace are leading the race for the ex-Liverpool man.
Aston Villa and Newcastle are also rumoured to be interested.
Robbie Brady
Bleacher Report suggesting Palace have had an offer for Norwich winger Robbie Brady rejected.
Lucas Piazon
He was on the scoresheet earlier this season when Fulham FC thrashed Huddersfield Town and it looks as if Lucas Piazon is staying at Craven Cottage on-loan for the rest of the season after a twitter exchange with a fan...
Derby in for Nugent
Derby County are in talks with Middlesbrough striker David Nugent ahead of a proposed £2m transfer.
According to Sky Sports, Steve McClaren is keen on bringing in the experienced striker after being told Chris Martin will not return early from his loan stint at Fulham.
The Cottagers were also believed to be interested in the Boro forward.
