Lansbury latest
Sky Sports are reporting that Aston Villa have agreed a fee with Nottingham Forest for the services of midfielder Henri Lansbury.
Norwich and Derby County are thought to have enquired about the Forest skipper, but Lansbury has chosen to join the former Premier League club.
The fee is believed to be around £3m, despite Lansbury having just six months left on his City Ground deal.
Newcastle to re-sign Townsend
John Cross at the Mirror understands Newcastle are looking for a loan deal for the winger they sold to Palace over the summer.
He writes:
Newcastle are only willing to do a loan deal for Andros Townsend. That could scupper their hopes of bringing the Crystal Palace winger back to the North East.
Ince staying at Derby
Tom Ince will not be leaving the Rams this month, despite links to Newcastle United.
Lansbury expected to sign for Villa
Aston Villa are expected sign Nottingham Forest captain Henri Lansbury in the next 24 hours, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The ex-Arsenal man will earn £40,000 per week at Villa Park, with Jordan Rhodes and Conor Hourihane also on Steve Bruce’s wishlist.

Birmingham City have signed winger Emilio Nsue from Middlesbrough on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Mick McCarthy on Huddersfield Town
The Ipswich boss has been speaking about Town in today’s press conference.
Rhodes bids made
Aitor Karanka has revealed Middlesbrough have rejected two bids for front man Jordan Rhodes.
If the right offer comes in and he wants to leave then for sure.
The club has received two offers but they weren’t enough, so he’s here and training really well.

Rotherham United have signed Richard O’Donnell from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee.
