HUDDERSFIELD Town have reportedly lost out in the battle to sign winger Dominic Green.
The 19-year-old former Dagenham and Redbridge player appears to have chosen newly promoted Peterborough United, managed by Sir Alex Ferguson's son Darren, instead of Town.
He has gone to London Road for an undisclosed fee but Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony confirmed it is 'the biggest amount spent on one player this summer' - Posh previously signed right-winger Sergio Torres from Wycombe for at least £100,000
Two Championship clubs were also reported to be in the race for Green's signature.
The Peterborough Evening Telegraph reports Posh boss Darren Ferguson saying: "This goes along with our policy of signing young, hungry players. He has real potential."
