With a week of the transfer window to go, the name of Huddersfield Town is featuring more and more.

Brentford are said to be interested in Town's Nottingham Forest loan man Jamie Paterson, while coach David Wagner is reported to be keeping tabs on Wolves wingman Rajiv van La Parra and there's a link involving Scunthorpe United striker Paddy Madden.

Darren Wormald, talking on the Examiner’s Huddersfield Town Facebook page, said: “Town have been short of the defensive and striking options for a good 18 months and well before Chris Powell departed.

“This is nothing new and I’m sure David and his team will address these issues as and when the right players at the right price become available.

“A good team performance against a very strong side (Brighton).

“Let’s see what happens in the rest of the transfer window, but also it may be time for the fringe youngsters to take an opportunity.

“In David Wagner and Dean Hoyle we must trust.”
