Halifax coach Karl Harrison will be looking for a strong away showing from his side as they take on Workington Town in the Kingstone Press Championship tomorrow.

Fourth-placed Halifax are six points adrift of leaders Leigh, but have won four of their last five league matches.

Adam Robinson remains sidelined as he recovers from a broken arm, but coach Harrison is hopeful the former Dewsbury player will be able to return to action later this month.

Harrison must make changes to his team after Tony Tonks received a one-match ban for punching.

Workington Town coach Phil Veivers will check on Peter Lupton (hamstring), Karl Olstrum (hip), Jarrad Stack (hamstring) and Kayle Connor (thigh) before deciding his team to face Halifax.

Veivers said: “The weekend off came at a good time with all those injuries.”

Town are currently in tenth place in the Kingstone Press Championship, having lost their last four league fixtures.

FC Halifax Town boss Neil Aspin said his side belied their part-time status by winning their Conference Premier play-off first leg 1-0 at The Shay, but warned Cambridge will be a different proposition in tomorrow’s second leg at the Abbey.

Aspin said: “I must again give the players credit because they’re a part-time team who finished stronger against a full-time team.

“However, Cambridge have got very good players who will come into that starting 11.”
