Linthwaite Under 15s are keeping up the pressure on their RCD Huddersfield Junior League rivals.

The Colne Valley side – second in Division III – faced closest challengers Upperthong in a programme badly depleted by waterlogging.

Home side Linthwaite overcame their third-placed rivals 6-4 and moved to within three points of leaders King Cross, who have played one more match.

YM B are second, but have played one game more than their Calderdale rivals at the top.

Only 21 league and cup matches were possible as heavy rain left many pitches unplayable.

There was still opportunity, however, for Pudsey D to extend their lead to four points in the Under 12 Division 6 with a 7-0 win at lowly Greetland Stars.
