Kim Atkinson is celebrating winning the Ladies Singles title at the Sellers International Tennis Tournament.
The Thongsbridge star beat Natalie Wall 7-5 6-4 in the showpiece at Huddersfield Lawn Tennis and Squash Club to carry off the splendid trophy.
There were mixed fortunes for the Atkinson family, however, as Andrew was beaten 6-1 6-4 in the final of the Men’s Singles by No1 seed Peter Ashley from Leeds.
But Thongsbridge had another title to celebrate when Bronte Murgett won the Girls 16 and Under crown, beating Rebecca Hill of Pocklington 6-4 6-2 in the final.
Third seed Matt Rushton-Woods won the Boys 16s, defeating fourth seed Max Gallins of Ilkley 6-2 6-2.
Rushton-Woods, from the Holcombe Brook club, got through a lengthy semi-final when beating the No1 seed, Adam Jones, 5-7 7-6 10-7.
In the 10s and Under section, No3 seed Lleyton Scott won a Roses final for Yorkshire, beating Lancashire’s Adam Singleton 4-2 4-0.
The girls title at that age group was won by Alice Shields, who beat her Red Rose compatriot Lizzie Harkness 4-0 4-0.
