UNSER BHATTI played his first match for five years to help inspire St Cuthberts Racqueteers to a 9-0 whitewash against their B team in the Huddersfield Badminton League.

Out due to a succession of operations, Bhatti won three points.

The B side were already up against it because of shortages and were forced to concede three rubbers.

Graham White and Nick Martinek were the only pair to win a game for the B team, taking the second 21-15 against Bhatti and Malcolm Holmes, but they lost overall.

Janine Lancaster and Angela Hall almost caused an upset as the A team were missing their No1 woman player, but narrowly missed out 21-23, 20-22.
